A History of Warehime Food Processing Pioneers

Warehime.org is a historical and informative cornucopia about the Warehime family settling in Carroll County Maryland and later in

Hanover, Pennsylvania

. The website has a primary focus on the Warehime patriarchal members, especially those that pioneered and perpetuated the development of food preparation and processing in Hanover, Pennsylvania.

This website provides information starting with the ancestors of Harry Warehime, the founder of Hanover Canning Company, presently Hanover Foods Corporation, and moves forward with information about Harry's son Alan Warehime, and Harry's grandson

John Warehime

. Hanover Canning opened in 1924 with sixty employees canning locally grown vegetables. The newly formed company canned Early June peas, beans, and tomatoes grown by Harry and other local Hanover, Pennsylvania farmers during the summer, and they processed sauerkraut in the winter.
